Canadians for Israel’s Legal Rights
It has come to the attention of the Jewish Defence League that the New Israel Fund of Canada has involvement with the NGO “Breaking the Silence.”
This NGO is under investigation by the Government of Israel for charges of gathering IDF Classified Information. The President of the New Israel Fund in Canada is Joan Garson. Please review the following information:

I received this from the New Israel Fund. I’m in the middle of reading the book, Our Harsh Logic. It’s a difficult read, as all the names are excised, so it’s just an anonymous soldier saying “We did this” for a page to 5 pages, over and over for 400 pages. Even so, it’s an extremely important document of the Israeli army’s activities from the inside, and particularly the references to soldiers harassing and arresting civilians, then seeing it reported in the newspaper as “4 terrorists apprehended” and “weapons found,” etc – I would highly recommend it – I got my copy from the Winnipeg Public Library, hopefully it’s similarly available in Toronto. And I’d think a talk with one of its (authors? organizers?) would be very interesting.
Note: the event is in someone’s home, but it is a public event. I checked with Atarah.

Subject: Breaking the Silence in Toronto
I hope you’re all well.
I’m writing to you about an event happening in Toronto on Monday, October 14 that I felt you should know about.
Dana Golan from Breaking the Silence (Shovrim Shtikah) will be in Toronto to speak about BTS’s new book, Our Harsh Logic.
While this is not an NIFC event, I think it would be a great opportunity to discuss the sensitive issues at hand and to hear from this transformative activist and educator. Here are the details:
When: Monday, October 14, at 7:30PM
Where: The home of Joan Garson and David Baskin,
If you need more information about the event, please contact Isaac Kates Rose at isaackatesrose@…
All the best,
About BTS and the book:
Breaking the Silence is an organization of veteran combatants who have served in the Israeli military since the start of the Second Intifada and have taken it upon themselves to expose the Israeli public to the reality of everyday life in the Occupied Territories. They endeavor to stimulate public debate about the price paid for a reality in which young soldiers face a civilian population on a daily basis, and are engaged in the control of that population’s everyday life.
Israeli soldiers, the young men and women in the army, know the truth of the occupation better than anyone-they are the people who carry it out. Now, in a monumental book of collective testimony, OUR HARSH LOGIC: Israeli Soldiers’ Testimonies from the Occupied Territories, 2000-2010 the soldiers speak out and demand to be heard. The soldiers in OUR HARSH LOGIC have gone on the record with their personal experiences to break what they call a conspiracy of silence across Israeli society and to fulfill a moral obligation. Speaking with undeniable authority, they have made a supremely significant contribution to one of the world’s most vexed and intractable conflicts.

On Tuesday March 22nd, 2016 7:30 PM, there will be a panel discussion with Joan Garson from the New Israel Fund (a group that provides funding to many anti Israel BDS groups); Karen Mock from J Space (another group that states. “we oppose Israel’s Jewish settlements”) and an official from CIJA.
It is important for our community to demand that CIJA not provide any
standing to groups that promote anti Israel groups such as the NGO
“Breaking The Silence”
To the attention of the Honourable Minister For Public Safety, Ralph Goodale:
It has come to the attention of the Jewish Defence League of Canada that an Ottawa based organization with charitable donation status, Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East, is asking Canadians to damage sales of Israeli products that are sold in Canada.
This BDS group has stated: ” CJPME’s campaign invites Canadians from across the country to sign up for a packet of free ‘Boycott Israel’ sticky notes. CJPME invites Canadians to go to local stores and post these on Israeli merchandise, thus warning potential buyers against buying products from Israel.”
The Jewish Defence League of Canada is calling on your office to advise the RCMP to enforce the law. Conspiring with other groups and persons to willfully damage business premises and impeding people from carrying on normal business — together with the new form of antisemitism — must be stopped.
The Jewish Defence League will also be advising the Canada Revenue Agency of the above.
We hope that your office will see fit to take necessary action to correct this situation.
National Director, Jewish Defence League of Canada
Right-wing NGO Im Tirtzu has been embroiled in controversy recently after launching a campaign that exposed 20 Israeli NGOs that it alleges are involved in anti-Israel activity and receive funding from European governments, including Breaking the Silence, New Israel Fund (NIF), Rabbis for Human Rights, +972 Mag, and several others.
A video (see below) released by Im Tirtzu last week called The Foreign Agents – Revealed! depicts a Palestinian terrorist stabbing the viewer, claiming that Israeli leaders of human rights organizations are “moles” that work with foreign countries against Israel’s counter-terrorism agenda. The video accuses the Israeli activists, saying they “fight us while we fight terror,” and calls on viewers to sign a petition to outlaw the 20 organizations.
The JDL supports Im Tirtzu and calls on all our supporters to also support Im Tirtzu.
The issue is very clear. There exists today traitors that seek to defame the one little tiny successful Jewish State and at the same time, give a pass to radical Islam.
The Jewish Defence League also calls on the Canadian Jewish News to stop giving space to traitors. The NGOs that are referred to in the article label the IDF as war criminals and promote a boycott of Israel.
They also call Israel an Apartheid State. It is these NGOs that practice incitement against Israel. ARZA Canada should be ashamed of supporting such anti Israel NGO’S.
A message from Meir Weinstein, National Director for JDL Canada:
I attended the Toronto Rally to Prevent a Nuclear Iran. I was very disappointed with the turnout. Approximately 250-300 people attended. Over 20 well financed organizations were involved in the promotion of the rally. Many well paid Rabbis and other Jewish leaders spoke.
I was contacted the night before the rally and asked that JDL not be visible at the Rally.
At this critical time in our history, the Jewish people need unity and not deception in order to justify over inflated salaries from leaders that have little appeal to our community.
We have Jewish leaders and Synagogues that roll out the red carpet for Islamic groups and leaders that are part of the radical Islamic network.
We have Jewish leaders that bash PM Stephen Harper and attempt to gather support for the Liberal Party of Canada and the NDP Party of Canada.
Both of these political parties would encourage the promotion of radical Islam and the BDS movement.
Now is the time to move away from weak failed leadership and to support the Jewish Defence League.
I am committed to opening up chapters and branches of the Jewish Defence League in other cities and reviving the Jewish Defence League in the USA.
National Chairman Meir Weinstein reports:
I find it incredible that the B’nai Brith would claim some kind of a victory against the Al-Quds Day event. There is no victory.
Here are the facts:
The Al-Quds Day event went ahead as planned. They assembled at the USA Consulate and delivered the most vicious antisemitic speeches and then marched with complete police support to Queens Park. The police closed off half of University Avenue for Al Quds day.
Where was B’nai Brith and why did they not assist the Jewish Defence League?
Also and most importantly, I have plans for the Jewish Defence League to open for business again in the USA.
Give JDL your financial support and watch us do that which must be done. And say goodbye to weak leadership.
The following video from Al Quds Day is a dangerous example of Islamic youth being fed a diet of radical Islam and violence. The Minister of Education and police agencies must investigate the schools and Islamic learning centers that encourages such hate and violence.
The Jewish Defence League will also investigate some Islamic learning centers, camps and mosques. The emergence of a radical Islamic youth movement in Canada is a threat to National Security. The Jewish Defence League will make this a priority and would like to establish contact with informants and persons with security knowledge.
HERE is one report on the JDL counter-protest, from CIJ News.
A Canadian Islamic Shiite website affiliated with the organizers of al-Quds Day, harshly attacks Ontario Premier, Kathleen Wynne for her support of Israel, implicitly mocks her for being a gay, and calls women who wore short clothes in the hottest day of month, “sluts” and “filth.”
The website Crescent International, which presents itself as “a publication of the Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought (ICIT)” headed by Imam Zafar Bangash, posted a news report on al-Quds Day rally, which took place on July 11 in front of the American Consulate in Toronto.
“Organizers of the Quds Day rally can be truly proud of their achievement in bringing out thousands of people onto the streets of Toronto for the annual Quds Day rally,” the article reads emphasizing in this regard that last Saturday (July 11) was “the hottest day this Ramadan.”
The article, signed by crescent-online.net, accuses “some Queen’s Park politicians” of being “Zionist puppets” who “try desperately to prevent any criticism of its [Israel’s] atrocious record.”
“Kathleen Wynne, the Ontario premier and an apology for a woman, is an arch-Zionist. She has become a regular fixture at the ‘Walk for Israel’ march. These Zionist stooges will not walk for Canada but ask ‘how high sir’ if their Zionists masters order them to jump.”
The Jewish Defence League (JDL), that organized the counter protest against al-Quds Day rally, was also a prime target of the Canadian pro Iranian site.
“They [JDL activists] had even brought some scantily clad Zionist sluts thinking this would detract committed Muslims. What these enemies of humanity do not realize is that committed Muslims are not attracted to such filth.”
In his speech at al-Quds Day, Imam Zafar Bangash, who is affiliated with Crescent International site, expressed similar views. Bangash called the activists of the Jewish Defence League (JDL) “criminals” and mercenaries,” who came to protest against al-Quds Day only because they were given free beer.
He also called for overthrowing the Saudi regime and defeating PM Harper in October federal elections.
“I want all of you to, please, come out and send these Zionist puppets back home. If Harper wants to go to live in Israel he can go there. He does not belong in Canada. He is a Zionist puppet… the Zionism is racism, the Zionist ideology is anti human, the Zionists are against humanity… their end is coming near.”
We are living in very historical times.
The nuclear weapons deal with Iran is very dangerous.
The mobs that gather for Al Quds Day loudly call for the destruction of Israel.
And it is the regime in Iran that provides weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah to attack Israel.
So how do I feel?
My father lost almost all his family during the Holocaust.
He experienced a life of total fear. And I feel very grateful to live in an era with the rebirth of the Jewish State. And that Jewish State has the capacity to tell the world that Never Again will the Jewish people live a life of fear while the world goes about it’s business.
If the world decides to assist Iranian efforts to destroy the Jewish people, then the Jewish State can employ the Samson Plan.
So I feel confident that Never Again has relevance and meaning today.
And I will do everything I can to rally support for Israel and the Jewish People.
I will make every effort to establish chapters of JDL throughout Canada and the USA.
Our Jewish leaders are silent and I refuse to be silent.
And I need your help and support. Please give JDL your financial support by CLICKING HERE.
This is the moment of truth.
Mayor John Tory made a promise that the City of Toronto would not fund the Pride Parade if the antisemitic gang QAIA did march.
That antisemitic gang did march today in the Dyke parade and will march on Sunday.
The Jewish Defence League calls on Mayor John Tory to not participate in the Pride Parade.
We are at war and we must be prepared to defend our rights.
Radical Islam dominates many Islamic Groups in North America.
ISIS is now claiming responsibility for Sunday’s attempted terror attack at the Muhammad Art Exhibit in Garland, Texas and states that future attacks will be planned.
And why wouldn’t ISIS brag about it? Instead of condemning the attackers, the mainstream media has been busy condemning event organizer Pamela Geller for provoking the attacks:
The connection between the Canadian Friends of Sabeel (CFOS) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror group is very clear.
All church groups should be aware that by supporting CFOS, they are supporting the PFLP. The PFLP is listed by the Government of Canada as a terror group.
Because one of our goals is to weaken support for terror groups in Canada, the Jewish Defence League will provide this information to these church groups.
Also, we will have an open information meeting at a Pro Israel Vancouver Church on Thursday April 23rd in the evening.
Join and support the JDL Protest at the Pro PFLP Sabeel Terror Recruiting Conference in Vancouver.
It is essential that JDL Canada be present to confront those who spread dangerous lies about Israel and Judaism:

The Canadian Friends of Sabeel is involved in a campaign to support a leader of the Terror Group PFLP by the name of Khalida Jarrar.
This is their announcement on the CFOS Facebook page. They shared this announcement
from their supporter Rima Najjar:

The Passover (Pesach) Seder has more than its own share of opposites.
It can be confusing: Are we commemorating our freedom and the Exodus from Egypt and slavery, or are we remembering the bitterness of our years as slaves under the cruel rule of the Pharaohs of Egypt?
We recline, to demonstrate we are free. Yet we dip our food in salt-water to remind ourselves of the tears of our slavery.
We drink the “Arba Kosos – four cups” of wine, which represent the “four languages of redemption,” but we eat charoses to commemorate the mortar bricks we were forced to make. Maror reminds us of the bitter times we spent in Egypt, yet we recline to demonstrate our liberty.
The explanation, however, is obvious. As our Sages put it, “Light is only fully recognized when emerging from darkness.” One can only appreciate the importance of freedom after he fully understands what slavery entails. To truly praise Hashem for taking us out of Egypt, we must first learn about slavery, and even perform physical symbols to bring home to us how bitter it actually was.
As I review the bold steps taken by the JDL over the past year, I feel overwhelmed with pride.
